I rarely go to the regular Carlsbad Mall, Westfield shopping mall, anymore because the Carlsbad Premium Outlets have so much more to offer their visitors. The best thing about the Carlsbad Outlet is how the shops are arranged. You will find the children's clothing mostly grouped together, which is really convenient if you have the little ones with you.
There are some very high end shops here, and some not so high end, but all really great shops that you know and trust. You will find the 11 restaurants and food choices are much better here than the typical "food court" offerings at other shopping centers.
Bellefleur Restaurant offers a table cloth dining experience while Rubys will serve up the best hamburger and thick, creamy shake quick as a green flash sunset.
There is ample parking at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets, and in busier times a valet service is available.

Sometimes we go to the Carlsbad Outlet Mall just to walk around. It is a great place to people watch, and the center fountains can keep the toddlers fascinated for quite some time along with the colorful sit on rides.
During the Holidays Santa is on hand in his own village, center court. And in the summer months, each Wednesday the kids can partake in free children's activities, including visits from the famous Scripts Aquarium with some of their friendlier sea life.
