- The northern most beach, Army Navy Beach, is perfect for secluded walks, surf fishing and is a popular surf spot.
- The most popular beach in Carlsbad, just south of Army Navy Beach, is the Carlsbad City Beach.
Choose this beach if you need to have amenities close by, such as restrooms and sandwich shops. - Tamarack Beach has it's own parking lot and restrooms. The surf is good here, too.
- Warm Water Jetty is named for the warm water that is pumped from Agua Hedionda Lagoon just across the road.
- Cold Water Jetty Beach is a secluded section, just before the next stretch of residential housing along the Carlsbad coast.
