A little bit about me,
Betty Ziegler …
Even as a native Southern Californian, I really had not explored Carlsbad Beach before a spontaneous family vacation brought us to this quaint village.
How could we have imagined, either, that in April of 1986 we would stumble upon this opportunity?
Answering a direct mail (yes, used to I read those!) invitation,
we decided to take a weekend off.
We visited the Carlsbad Beach resort that was tempting us for a much needed getaway.
Happily each of us packed our bags and headed down the coast towards Carlsbad Beach, located just north of metropolitan San Diego.
We actually purchased a timeshare during this visit. Timeshares were a new and upcoming idea at that time (believe it or not!). And we have never looked back.
From that moment forward, we would always include at least one vacation at Carlsbad Beach each year. Many years we visited multiple times throughout the year, just because it was such a pleasant destination. Carlsbad always held, and still does hold, a special charm.
In 2004 we moved to Carlsbad, California and now call Carlsbad Beach home. We just knew this would be our home for as long as we lived. And you know what? We still vacation at Tamarack Beach Resort (our timeshare) each and every year … not one of us would give up spending time at this very special place.
My sons are all grown up now, but they will tell you their happiest vacations were right here, at Carlsbad Beach.
And it is this passion for Carlsbad Beach that inspired this website.
